LoLiPoP-IoT held successful Final Dissemination Event

 

The LoLiPoP-IoT project, part of the EU Chips Act JU initiative, held a one-day dissemination workshop focused on spreading out its results showing proof-of-concepts by demonstrating the achievements on the ten use cases. We here provide slides and further material presented. 


The event took place on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, as part of the Enerharv 2026 conference in Madrid and subsequently offered a unique platform for innovation exchange with respect to exploitation issues and networking. (Follow this link for a short report, find slides and further material below)

LoLiPoP-IoT, at the forefront of developing Long Life Power Platforms to retrofit wireless sensor network (WSN) modules for Internet of Things (IoT) applications presented itself in a session at Enerharv using the following well-known and established pattern:

LoLiPoP-IoT was presented by the partner TST (representing a part of the Spanish industry), reporting on objectives, the consortium, expected outcomes and impacts, before the technical presentations on results from LoLiPoP-IoT partners started. These presentations focused on specific functionalities (asset tracking, condition monitoring, and energy-efficient buildings) that LoLiPoP-IoT addressed, and led to the project’s innovations demonstrated by the ten real-world use cases in Industry 4.0, smart mobility, and energy-efficient buildings. The technical content of the project, which comprised algorithms, power sources, WSN IoT edge devices, simulation and metrology tools, was presented indirectly, as the presentations mainly stressed how LoLiPoP-IoT enables and improves the above-mentioned functionalities.

After the LoLiPoP-IoT session, the poster session was opened during the breaks in the conference program, allowing initial discussions, although the poster and demo pitches followed later, just before the poster and demo session. In the following, we provide several of the posters. 

About LoLiPoP-IoT:
In LoLiPoP-IoT innovative Long Life Power Platforms are being developed to enable retrofitting of wireless sensor network (WSN) modules in IoT applications. It comprises energy harvesting (light, heat, vibrations, RF) and micro-power management platforms as well as application optimised WSN modules. The partners work on minimizing power consumption and maximising use of the ambient energies to assure long battery life of the WSN modules, in many cases full power autonomy. The APPLICATION (industry 4.0, smart mobility and energy efficient buildings) Use Cases drive the development of algorithms to perform FUNCTIONALITIES like asset tracking, condition monitoring (for predictive maintenance) and energy/comfort optimization in buildings.

LoLiPoP-IoT creates an ecosystem of 40 developers, integrators and users from 10 European countries to develop these platforms thinking about power/battery life, ease of installation and maintenance. The project is driven by 10 laboratory- and field-based use cases to initially demonstrate their technical viability and then potential impact.
